Sandy Springs Police CSI Unit is a team of dedicated professionals who are responsible for processing crime scenes as well as a variety of other functions. The unit also handles all digital evidence to include cell phones, computers, and conducts video analysis. In the lab, they use state of the art equipment to process evidence for fingerprints and DNA. The CSI Unit also has an active role with a Task Force Officer assigned to assist the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) with Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Investigations as well as a Task Force Officer assigned to support the United States Secret Service (USSS) Electronic Crimes Task Force with Digital Forensics Investigations.
